Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s is seeking a Medical Assistant (Non-Certified) or CMA to support pediatric ambulatory clinics within our integrated Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will work closely with pediatricians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other team members to deliver compassionate, patient‑first care to children and their families across central and northern Wisconsin. You will room patients, obtain and accurately document vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories, prepare exam rooms and supplies, and assist providers with pediatric exams, immunizations, and common office procedures. Under appropriate supervision and consistent with clinic policy and state regulations, you may perform point‑of‑care testing, collect specimens, perform basic lab duties such as CLIA‑waived tests, manage vaccine handling and documentation, and support medication reconciliation and refill workflows. You will also play a key role in patient flow and clinic efficiency by scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records, managing in‑basket messages, processing prior authorizations and referrals, and providing clear age‑appropriate instructions to patients and families regarding preparations, follow‑up care, and health system resources. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service skills, sensitivity to children’s developmental and emotional needs, and the ability to perform clinical and administrative tasks in a fast‑paced ambulatory environment. You will collaborate daily with multidisciplinary teams in a culture that values empathy, integrity, and continuous improvement, contributing ideas to improve workflow, patient safety, and the overall care experience. Marshfield Clinic Health System – Marshfield Children’s offers a supportive environment focused on teamwork, education, wellness, and work‑life balance. New Medical Assistants receive structured onboarding, orientation to pediatric ambulatory standards, and training in electronic health records and safety protocols. Ongoing opportunities include skills development, in‑service education, and potential career growth into advanced MA roles, care coordination, or other clinical positions within the broader health system. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about working with children and families, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high‑quality pediatric care in an outpatient clinic setting.
