Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, fully remote Part-Time Bookkeeper with legal billing experience to support our legal accounting operations. This flexible role requires 25-30 hours per week, with the opportunity to set your own working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage legal billing processes and client invoicing. *clients may request us/our firm to use LEDES files, or work with their billing platforms (e.g., CounselGo, Collaborati, Serengeti, etc.)*
• Maintain accurate accounting records and reconciliations in QuickBooks.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports as needed *this may include accruals [meaning: the client will ask for what's 'in queue' for our billing so they can allocate sufficient budget on their end]*.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate recording of billable hours and client payments.
• Assist with other general bookkeeping tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within a legal environment.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Prior hands-on legal billing experience.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Please note: Payroll duties are NOT included in this role.
