We’re currently looking for a Part Time Mother’s Helper in San Diego, CA (92129)

A lovely family in the Rolling Hills neighborhood (near Carmel Mountain) is seeking a kind, dependable Mother’s Helper to support evenings and weekends with their sweet 4-year-old son. The ideal candidate enjoys spending time with children, is naturally organized, and is happy to assist with child-related care around the home. This role is designed to support the mother, allowing her to spend more quality time with her son while ensuring his daily needs are met.

• Schedule:  
  • Mondays, Wednesday and Thursday: 5:30pm-8:00pm
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 9:00am-12:00pm
• Start date: ASAP
• Length of Position: Ongoing
• Rate: $20 per hour
• 1 child: 4-year-old, boy

• Support the mother with her child’s care needs
• Serve and monitor meals (including hand-feeding Indian food when needed)
• Clean up after meals
• Light household tasks related to the child (laundry, organizing bedroom and play areas)
• Help with bathing when needed
• Engage child in educational and constructive play/activities if and when mother steps away for a moment 
• Communicate with family daily

• Authorized to work in the U.S. 
• Minimum 2+ years of childcare experience with preschool-aged children
• CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass background and social media checks
• At least 2 references from paid childcare experience
• Experience with educational or developmentally engaging activities preferred
• Someone who is patient, organized and attentive

This position pays $20 per hour, and the family is looking for ongoing part-time support totaling approximately 13 hours per week.
