POSITION TITLE: MECHANICAL/PROCESS ENGINEER

Duties include: Provide engineering support services on assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Engineering support services include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Process Flow Diagrams; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing/Calculations; Piping and Valve Specifications; ASME B&PVC Design and Evaluation including Pressure Protection Design; Material Handling Equipment; and Mechanical Procurement Requirements/Specifications/Data Sheets including Vendor Document Reviews. Travel off-site as required to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations. Engineering Services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures; programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR. Qualifications Education: BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Experience/Skills: Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry. Knowledge of ASME B31.3 code requirements. Experience with 2D MicroStation CAD is preferred. Ability to walk down systems in the field. Work Hours: A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s, 4/10s, and 9/80s. Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. Area Security Access: A security clearance is not required.
