Job Description UW Medical Center-Montlake Environmental Services has multiple employment opportunities for
Evening Hospital Custodians. WORK SCHEDULE - 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
- Evening shift, (3:00pm - 11:00pm) - Rotating every other weekend.
POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS Maintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure
- Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant
- Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure
- Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. Uses high speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floors scrubbers
- Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure
- Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors
- Performs cleaning and related activities in areas within a reasonable distance outside of the facility using hand-operated tools or small power equipment to remove snow or debris, and sweep sidewalks or stairs
- Complies with safety policies and procedures and medical center emergency and disaster procedures

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details Pay Range Minimum: $21.84 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $29.40 hourly
Other Compensation: Evening Differential Pay $1.75 per hourWeekend Differential Pay $2.00 per hour
