Chemical Process Operator I (CPO I) – $23.23–$28/hr | Evening Shift | Controlled Lab Environment

Location: Hercules, CA

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Duration: 2–3 Month Assignment

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare, weigh, measure, and mix materials to create stock solutions and finished products
• Perform calculations to ensure precise material ratios and batch accuracy
• Operate reactors and large-scale production equipment, including monitoring and adjustments
• Conduct in-process testing (pH, conductivity, etc.) and collect samples
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; support root cause analysis when needed
• Handle hazardous chemicals safely, including proper disposal procedures
• Wear full PPE, including supplied-air respirators, in a controlled environment
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and prepare equipment for maintenance or servicing
• Execute SAP transactions (inventory, goods receipt/issue, labor tracking)
• Document all production activities accurately and in real-time
• Communicate cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, and Inventory teams
• Support continuous improvement by recommending updates to SOPs and processes

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing, lab, or production environments
• Strong math skills (unit conversions, ratios, calculations)
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP or ERP experience is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work within GMP guidelines
• Comfortable working with hazardous materials and wearing full PPE
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and solve problems efficiently
